Garden- and Landscape Architecture: a Design and Cultural History

A series of lectures combined with literature study. This module represents an introduction to the history of landscape architecture, and to the relevance upon the pattern of contemporary culture. It also constitutes an introduction to this the study of culture. It provides a basic understanding of the history of art, culture, architecture, garden art and landscape design, outlining the influence of each on the current debate within landscape architecture.
